Has anyone successfully modified the GTK+ GUI to work with LICQ 1.1?

Clearly the server selection has somehow been disabled in LICQ 1.1. I'm
not clear exactly what was changed and how this might affect the GTK
GUI. A couple of server/port related structures appear to be completely
missing. I'm guessing they are simply related to storing config options
and may no longer be used.

I commented out a few lines, related to server/port selection, in the
GTK GUI to get it to compile. However, I'm seeing timeouts when I use
the same server which works with the QT-GUI (login.icq.com:5190). Was
something changed in QT-GUI to make it work with the new protocol code?

Where is the server specified in LICQ 1.1? QT-GUI is clearly ignoring
the config file. But, the GTK+ GUI is still reading the config file's
server and port entries.

Any pointers would be helpful.
