G'day,

after failing to find an answer in the mailing list archive I would
like to direct the following problem to the list:

Sysinfo: NetBSD-1.5Y, KDE-2.2.1, qt-2.3.1

The following is the output of licq when started with the debugging
enabled:

hotdog: {23} licq -p kde-gui -I -d 31
11:02:55: [WRN] Licq: Ignoring stale lockfile (pid 25096)
21:32:57: [INI] Owner configuration.
21:32:57: [INI] User configuration.
21:32:57: [INI] Loading 0 users.
21:32:57: [INI] Loading saved auto-responses.
21:32:57: [INI] Loading utilities.
21:32:57: [TCP] Local TCP server started on port 64325.
21:32:57: [INI] Opening fifo.
21:32:57: [INI] Spawning daemon threads.
21:32:57: [INI] Starting plugin KDE GUI (version 1.0.4).

at this point nothing more happens.

However, writes to the fifo are registered as well as connections to
the local port are possible. I've tried this with different pluggins,
but they all behaive the same way.

I've a feeling as if this may be related to a pthread issue
and found some hints about reading the README.FREEBSD file, however,
it nolonger seems to be distributed with the current version licq.

Has anyone seen this problem before and found a solution?
Alternatively, is there anything else I could try?

Many thanks in advance,

cheerio Berndt
