As the planned libicq would be as general as possible, I think it should be
written in C. Though we could easily make a C++ wrapper for it, which could
be libicq++ :) Most of the time the C++ wrapper won't even change only the
C functions when the protocol changes. But anyway I think it's worth to make
such a project. But only if at least the main icq clones join in, 'cause
otherwise it would just end up being the N+1th libicq :(

People, if you need help I can give some of my "CPU" time. I prefer C++, so
I can help with the wrapper (but I'll need some help from the authors of the
current licq library, 'cause I haven't had a look at the code yet)
