New description:

When you're working with the tabbed chatwindow and you
send a message to someone (say, buddy A) and change to
another conversation (other tab) (say, buddy B), than you
start to type your message (to B) and, if the previous
message that you have sent (to A) was delayed a bit (like
what happens when you send the first message to someone
in msn, as it has to connect to the other or the server before
the message can be sent) then when the message is finally
sent (to A), the focus return to the edit area of the
conversation of that message (the conversation with buddy
 A) and you have to click over the current edit area (the one
being displayed) (of buddy B) to continue typing.

Comment (by flynd):

I can confirm that this problem still/also occures with Qt4-Gui.

It seems that after message sending is complete the message input box
steals focus when it becomes reenabled. However this only happens between
in tabbed mode. Focus is not stolen between windows.
