From the very beginning I tried to mimic the behaviour of the old OSD
plugin.[[BR]]
As compared to it, newosd lacks status differentiation and strings
translations.
Pretty easy to implement, but I can't fight off the intermittent crash
during initialization of glib structures. If someone has an interest,
please take a look and let me know.
