(Un)fortunately I have an idea what the problem is. It's probably my fix for #2867. I have now rolled back that fix in r20629. Can you check again whether it works with that revision (should be in the nightly tomorrow)? If it does we might be able to make an exception to our RC = final rule, because this one just rolls back a non-critical patch, so I fail to see how this could affect anything but the original ticket.
