With the latest utopic package of lightdm-gtk- greeter, this build-dependency was removed. The package still builds, but is missing this library for proper indicator support. Test Case: 1. Install indicator-power 2. Modify /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf - if not already present, add "power" (not "~power") to the show-indicators key. Expected Results: - Without the fix 1. lightdm-gtk-greeter is unable to load indicator-power and will not display it. - With the fix 1. lightdm-gtk-greeter is able to load indicator-power and will display it.
