I reappear on this thred to notify that metronome and rehearsal marks
destroy positioning :
a) Metronome Marks push the measure counter of the following bar on the
right.
b) Rehearsal Marks push the measure counter of the previous bar on the left
(not the following one).
It affects all numbers (not only number 1).
It seems to be specific to indications attached to bars. By the way, key
and clef changes also have this influence, but in those cases, the shift
created is perfectly normal and looks great.
