"my time" would be above three weeks due to my personal time and stress
level planning. So there seems little point for me to keep predicting the
problems users will have instead of letting them experience and report them
by themselves (which would require complete user-level documentation). The
consequences for followup work regarding this patch (including its
revertability in the case of not getting anywhere) would at the surface
appear to manageable when compared with something invasive like the
translate_axis patch.
In either case, I've made my point and there is nothing new I'll be able to
say in the near future. I am in no way more responsible for the quality of
code permitted into LilyPond than any other developer, particularly those
contributing the code, and I have no authority beyond what others will
recognize.
