Regarding comment #4:

_would_ be initiating a "proper" context. Yes, this is sort of a problem,
and more or less on par with the markup problem. It's just that
sacrificing string addition was not much of a sacrifice to make and I was
ok with using this excuse. With music, this is way more complex to do.
