Here's another couple of examples - a scan from Gould and, as a point of
interest, the diamond noteheads from Sibelius. To be honest, both look to
provide perfectly stright lines on the outside of the notehead. That said,
I think it could be pleasing to have slightly concave sides, so I'll
experiment and post some possibilities.
