I've seen this more than once, so either the download fails without Patchy
noticing, or there is a conflict in the expectations about file names
and/or directories. Or there are conditions when Patchy will omit
downloading for some reason.
The original diagnosis "fails to clean up" was made because it was common
that several tests failed in a row trying to patch. But if I think about
it, it would be rather unusual if several unrelated issues touched the same
files, so it's much more likely that after the first failed download (for
whatever reason) no other downloads are done, but compilation is still
attempted.
