I just read the following link
<URL:https://www.gnu.org/software/bison/manual/html_node/Xml.html#Xml> and
tried generating an HTML file.
The result is so much superior to what LilyPond produces in the manual that
it's not funny. However, this only produces HTML or text, so one should
adapt one of the XSLT scripts (possibly the HTML one) to produce Texinfo
instead of HTML.
