There are comments on Rietveld concerning \compoundTime. Though they are
valid, they don't really concern the countdown on _this_ issue. Addressing
them will require routing \compoundTime to a more \time-like behavior: at
the moment it is implemented quite differently. I'll try getting
eventually to it but am currently lost in a little maze of issues, all
different.
