We already have the icon in the top-left corner, and hopefully as the favicon image. What about putting the "What is lilypond" as a sidebar along the right side (above the "Quick links")? We might also want to re-name "Quick links" to "Current versions" ? Alternatively, the background could be made more prominent... actually, that would suck for all the other pages. Maybe just add more images of notation as the background of the "what is lilypond" box?
