Exactly. By putting them on LSR, you are putting it into PD. See e.g. http://lsr.dsi.unimi.it/LSR/html/whatsthis.html Also, the snippet submission page starts with the very sentence: "Important: By entering your snippet, you are placing it in the public domain. This includes also snippets taken from the Lilypond manual (the manual authors grant you their permission to do so)." And please don't argue that you were not aware, because that's there on the "About" page of the LSR, so if you still contribute it's you fault to not check.
