The current example I am having problems with is in 5.1.4
Modifying context plug-ins.
The example in the current document is:

@lilypond[quote,relative=1,ragged-right,verbatim,fragment]
This should be
@lilypond[quote,verbatim]
otherwise the whole thing is placed in a \relative block,
which doesn't work with \score.
