Hi, have you considered fixing issue 39 by shortening the flag (as we're going to have plenty of shortened flags available)? Or maybe shortening a flag a bit ang lenghtening the stem a bit would be the best solution? As Carl found a way to separate flags from noteheads in font (http://codereview.appspot.com/4662055/), the work on shortened flags starts moving again.
