Why is that surprising?
I don't often wear a tuxedo, nor resemble a penguin in any other way

i forgot about point-and-click all the time.  I'm wondering whether we
could turn it off by default - it's useful with tools like
Frescobaldi, which should be smart enough to know how to invoke Lily
with appropriate option on its own.
