Neither does Emacs in its normal GUI mode. I'd hope this to be the case for most editors, but then quite a few editors like vi run typically inside of a terminal, and the terminal (unless being used as a "dumb" terminal) does not really have a way to know which of the physical line endings on the screen are supposed to correspond to newlines and which not. So if you are copying and pasting from the terminal rather than by using editor-specific commands, all bets are off. -- David Kastrup _______________________________________________ lilypond-devel mailing list lilypond-devel@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-devel
