Don't grand-replace in the stable branch (does not make a lot of sense
anyway), and the cherry-picks will be commits that have not yet seen
grand-replace.  So while the current time plan would suggest that delays
would not be for all that long, I don't see that the grand-replace could
cause any hassle, and at the very least not any significant one.

So go wild.
