Forgive me for asking what is probably the most common sort of question, but after successfully compiling and installing LilyPond 2.0.2, as well as xdvi 22.81, I get this message from xdvi when trying to open a dvi file generated by lilypond:

"Cannot find PostScript file for inclusion in document: music-drawing-routines.ps"

The xdvi output has gibberish for noteheads, as well as other problems.

I ran buildscripts/clean-fonts.sh as root after compiling lilypond, added lilypond-profile to my ~/bin directory and sourced it, and added this as well to my .bash_profile:

XDVIINPUTS='/usr/share/texmf/{xdvi,dvips//}'

Ggv reads the corresponding ps file perfectly, yet I cannot get usable output with xdvi. What have I neglected to do?

Many thanks in advance,
Carter Brey
