feature request: revive MusicXML import

Hi all,

I have a LilyPond feature request: MusicXML import. I might have asked
for this before, without mentioning the reason.

The reason is simple: optical music recognition. We could advance the
mutopia project <http://www.mutopiaproject.org> a LOT faster by using an
OMR tool. There is a very good OMR tool that exports MusicXML.
Unfortunately, it is proprietary. Its MusicXML output, however, is as
free as can be.
