Hi, I analyse MIDI files for things like tessitura and consecutives. Lilypond MIDI files either don’t have track names, or are called :uniqueContext0, :uniqueContext1 etc. I can’t be sure that the numbers are going down the score from top to bottom. Is there any way of setting track names from within Lilypond?
(A MIDI track name is a meta-event FF 03 (variable length) then the name string. It looks like :uniqueContext0 is some default that should be able to be overridden). Vaughan
