Hi Karin, Lilypond is Unicode aware. HTML escape codes have no relevance to lilypond. Any editor that supports Unicode will allow you to type Swedish, and there is no need for ‘special characters’.
Frescobaldi is highly recommneded as a lilypond programming environment. Andrew
