Having just typeset an e-book, I would point out that the “Dublin Core” metadata standard which EPUB files use explicitly lists the various creators’ and contributors’ roles: a music score might have a Composer [cmp] and a Typographer [tyg] but not necessarily an Author [aut]. —Joel C.
