Hello everybody, just to let you know: After gathering from the recent thread that the situation with frescobaldi dependencies and conflicting versions of python would be easier to handle with Ubuntu 17, I tried getting it to work on a pristine 17.10 live system - unsucessfully, with another weird bug (?) preventing to build sip from source.
