There are differences in weight and beaming for triplets and sextuplets that formally come in the same duration. Just like there is a difference in \tuplet 2/3 { c4 c4 } and { c4. c4. } Musical notation (and thus LilyPond) writes down more than what appears in the MIDI. -- David Kastrup
