This is exactly the use-case for a Staff_name_engraver. =) I’ve been trying to learn how to code engravers in largest part so I can build exactly that thing for my opera and musical theatre scores! I already have what I think is a good understanding of the requirements, if not exactly the UI… Maybe we can work together on getting it to the goal line?! Cheers, Kieren.
