Hello all
I’m looking for tips, advice, or even tutorials on publishing complete printed
books (extensive text and musical examples) using Lilypond.
Examples of some projects I would like to re-edit and print:
• a collection of individual pieces
• a book of etudes (i.e. several different complete pieces, with commentary)
• a teaching manual (many short musical examples, 1 – 8 measures long, with
commentary)
• eventually, a complete Counterpoint textbook...but this will be several
years down the road!
Questions I have for the community:
• how did you integrate Lilypond examples into the document?
◦ (export / import Lilypond as pdf, image, etc…?)
• What publishing / word processing software did you use for the final
assembly?
• Any problems you had that you didn’t foresee?
FYI, I usually try to use open source software (Libreoffice for word
processing) but I’m happy to change my setup if necessary.
