Technically speaking you need to change `fret-partials` for `harmonicByFret`.
`node-positions` is for `harmonicByRatio`, i.e.:
Thanks for clarifying that. Since my original goal was greater accuracy
in harmonicByRatio, I'll work on redefining node-positions.
Though, I have my doubts those more exact numbers have much value. If
a student is at a state he could use those partial tones, he should be
aware of the differences and problems coming along with them,
I agree that should be the typical case, but my need for accuracy was
while coaxing beginning students to explore the higher harmonics with an
example written in both notation and tab. If they hit fret 3 precisely,
they get disappointed, hence the desire for (3.2) in the tab.
Furthermore its very rare (if at all) one needs partial tones higher
than on the 3rd fret. In printed editions I've never seen other
indications than: XII, VII, V, VI, III
Me either, but when in Rome, writing "III.." would be more accurate (=
3.167). That's my two unciae [1][2].
Thank you so much for your code pointers and sharing your guitar
wisdom. I'm back on track.
