Shouldn't there be some kind of heads up from the program when something doesn't make sense like this? It tells me all the time that I don't make sense about other bits and pieces why not this?

Lily's behaviour is rather odd, but a tie between note and rest makes little sense, so it can be considered undefined behaviour.
