For years I struggled to put them into the same score as the part they went with, and then struggled again to update them when I the lilypond version changed. Now I have a separate lilypond file (cantus-incipit.ly is the incipit for cantus.ly) and so I don't need to deal with printing new clefs and key signatures and making the bar numbers come out right.
