We are not talking of bulletted lists. The case in point (no pun ...) is not a grammatical construction in prose anyway, so it's a matter of style preference. I would suggest that an in-line list should have terms separated by a comma and the list terminated by a period, even if there is only one term (to indicate that none is missing).
