I swear I'll look into the AJAX thingy as soon as I get a life (and that answers your question about my opera, btw...) There are several resources such as http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxsearch/samples.html or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opensearch#Search_engines_and_software_that_support_OpenSearch In the meantime, a small basic google search box would mean the world to many of us -- or at least myself :-) If you're worried about the CSS side, I'm sure someone will handle it.
