Hmm, I don't know if it's the best way, but I decided to just put the marks on separate staves:
If you're going to print parts from this, you're setting yourself up for disaster… =\
Better, perhaps, would be to define some "Marker" context (nothing but Mark_engraver and whatever's necessary for timing to work out), and include one above and below your GrandStaff in the score, and above and below each individual Staff in the part(s).
