I agree with you that the snippet at least should mention the
possibility to use alignAboveContext.
Perhaps you have the time to add one or two lines of information on
alignAboveContext, alignBelowContext
in
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.13/Documentation/user/lilypond/Aligning-contexts#Aligning-contexts
which currently just includes a single example, that doesn't even have
the "verbatim" flag set and where
the text doesn't even mention the name of the property.
