Hm, I came across a usability problem:
dead notes (aka \changeNoteHead #'cross) change NoteHeads and TabNoteHeads,
whereas
palm mute (aka \changeNoteHead #'do) changes only NoteHeads.
(not that I had implemented \changeNoteHead, though!)
