1) I cannot reproduce this error.
2) typically the numbered output you see "Interpreting music... [8] [16][24][32][33]" is lilypond's way of telling you where in the music it is. In this case, the error is likely in measure 33. Try compiling everything before measure 33 and add notes until you find the problem.

I have other crescendos and diminuendos in the piece.
