Hello Michael, I know next to nothing about JEdit, except that it installed on my (Windows) system without any difficulty. No-one else has replied, so I thought I'd mention that a few more details are probably required before anyone can help. It would appear that JEdit is not finding a necessary file, which indicates that something might have gone wrong with installation, prerequisite files are missing or not on the path searched by JEdit. I would think that the operating system you are using, what instructions you followed to install the software, and at what stage you get the error would all be relevant.
