>From what you described, your arpeggio would look like (in 8th notes): g8 c8 e8 for a C major triad. I would see no need for extra guidance to the musician. Some might not call it an arpeggio since the notes are not in ascending or descending order, as is usually considered part of the definition of an arpeggio. One could think of this as a melodic cell, if one objects to calling it an arpeggio due to being out of sequence, although as a guitarist I would think of this as an arpeggio played with a mixed roll (one of the standard right hand techniques of fingerstyle guitar). Perhaps I am not understanding what you have in mind in terms of the Lilypond output.
