Well, from the FAQ on the IMSLP web site: "All scores submitted to IMSLP either belong to the public domain, or permission has been granted by the copyright holder to host them here."

So, if you are the copyright holder, you can submit the work to IMSLP under a Creative Commons license (see http://creativecommons.org/licenses/ for the various flavours available.
