Hi fellow ponders, I finally searched for the sign for visibly combining syllables (see http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.14/Documentation/notation/common-notation-for-vocal-music#multiple-syllables-to-one-note), and "~" works great in lyrics in that the undertie gets kerned below the syllables it combines.
I'd like to achieve the same in further verses, printed below (i.e. in \markup). The raw unicode symbol U+203F (‿) is too wide, I didn't find a similar but narrower glyph. Can I use the mechanism from lyrics within \markup? Or do you know a better solution?
