I can confirm that in the Henle movie they explicitely mention lead plates.

Pewter is really shiny when it is first cast. And it takes a liltle while to oxidize. I have cast a few things in pewter and also pipe metal (for organ pipes) which is essentially a high tin pewter. The pipe metal will stay shiny a long time and only really needs to be buffed to get rid of the oxidization.

    The plate in the video is shiny silver, so it clearly can't be
    copper.  Zinc
    and pewter tend to be dull.  My guess is that it was aluminium.

    In one of the videos I heard the mention of lead.  Given how
    gentle the hammer strokes were I think they were probably lead.
     Lead is shiny when freshly scraped.
