Hi Xavier,
I see you described the problem much better and more general. I just stumbled at this "unison/divisi" kind of notation style at the first time.

Your example with a new voice the "jumps" on a different staff is much more readable than my approach with tons of spacers rest since it concentrates the notation at one place in the source. I will adapt this for my current version.
