Attached is an image of a sign that appears in the lyric line of the

in the Musica Tranalpina. I'm now fairly certain that it means "repeat

previous phrase" to save some typesetting. Two questions: 1: can anyone
confirm this interpretation; 2: any ideas of how to set this in LilyPond?
