http://freshmeat.net/projects/gimageview/ and http://gtkmmviewer.sourceforge.net/ It is really great - lots of features, proprely sized icons, image display in a separate window. My only problem with it for the while is that it can only display one image at a time, but maybe there's an option to toggle it on. Enjoy!
