about demonstrating hebrew office, logs, games ... whatever: Don't you think it would be better to show it all by using screenshots ? IMHO - it's better because when you demonstate, sometimes things go wrong - not as you planed it and then the audience has to wait while the lecturer search for a file or connect his laptop or wait for the application to load or linux to boot or whatever. That doesn't look too good. I know what i'm talking about - i was in the audience last year and i still remember my impression from that lecture. i think that maybe Guy's GTK demo and maybe a game or two should be presented as a "live" show (we don't want to loose the WOWing effect) ... all the other stuff should be screenshots because there's no WOWing in that. for example - when a windows user will see a linux user talking and demonstating with a great deal of excitement the great hebrew support and how he can load m$-word files, he'll probably say to himself "so what ? i can do these stuff with my windows system since 95!". > --> can we have a demo of a digital camera interfacing? preferably, a ^^^ i can't see whats the point in doing that too. ^^^ it sound like a rugular, non-amazing(not at all) action to me. so, that's my personal opinion .... what do you think ? Orna, later on this week i'll write the main points for my speach ans send you a copy (i'll not be able to show up for Guy's lecture).
