Perhaps not. I don't suppose `strace -fo mytace -e trace=file,desc $cmd ; less mytrace` shows anything interesting? As an aside, there sure are a lot of model options. I wonder if it would make things easier to release a default configuration file (-f) that could presumably be overridden by command line options when needed.
