The current generation of Pandas (4430-based) can't be salvaged[1].
They have a bad thermal sensor (wrong location, spurious values, etc.)

Our work is on the 4460-based SoC and Pandaboards for those won't be
available until November. The testing in down on boards that only TI
has access to ATM (Blaze)

[1] Through software, that is. You could solder a new sensor to the
i2c, etc. or simply put on fan on top.
